MN North Shore Elopement
Kyle & Jill planned a beautiful laid-back North Shore elopement that was all about being present, soaking in the scenery, and spending real time with the people who matter most. Lake Superior showed up with a bright, sunny day, setting the tone right from the start.
The day kicked off at their Airbnb, where I focused on the quiet candid moments. Capturing the details, laughs, and that calm excitement before everything officially began. Their first look happened there too, and it was one of those slow, genuine moments that really let them pause and take it all in together.
From there, we headed to Iona’s Beach near Gooseberry Falls for couple portraits. The rocky shoreline, open space, and Lake Superior views made the perfect backdrop. We kept things easy and fun, mixing natural movement with relaxed, timeless portraits.
Back at the cabin, they exchanged vows surrounded by family, with the lake just steps away. It felt less like a traditional ceremony and more like an intimate gathering that was simple, meaningful, and full of good energy.
We wrapped things up right where we started, stepping back onto the shoreline at the Airbnb for sunset portraits. Between the lake views, the family time, and the classic North Shore scenery, Kyle & Jill’s day was the perfect balance of fun, connection, and intentional moments.
